Care of Creation USA

Mobilizing the American Church.

Ed Brown teaching at a seminar.

In the USA, Care of Creation is focused on mobilizing the church to care for creation.

When we say “mobilize”, we mean raising awareness of our responsibility as American Christians to care for the creation that God has provided for us.

In the USA, we believe that mobilizing the church  involves:

  • gaining an understanding of the biblical basis for creation care. We do this through the Our Father’s World seminars, through the book “Our Father’s World” and through speaking engagements at conferences and in churches.
  • putting creation care into action in local congregations by helping congregations learn how to demonstrate stewardship of their church building, their land and the resources that God has blessed them with.
  • educating those in the church who are focused on missions. This education explains the concept of environmental missions and how it a powerful way to spread the gospel while caring for those whose lives have been disrupted because of environmental issues like deforestation, drought, polluted water, erosion, and flooding
  • raising funds that will be used to support environmental missions projects around the world
  • working with students and others who are planning a career in environmental missions by training them in the skills they will need in the mission field.
