Grant Spickelmier

Grant Spickelmier is the education curator at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon. From dressing up in animal costumes to creating animal themed video games/apps to appearing on live cooking shows to promoting sustainable seafood, Grant has worked for nearly 25 years to find innovative ways to inspire people to take conservation action on behalf of wildlife.  In particular, Grant is interested in calling Christians back to their original role as stewards and caretakers of the environment.  He has led classes and seminars on Creation Care and written articles for www.greenjesus.com.   Grant holds B.A. degrees in both Biology and Education from Bethel University and a M.S. in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota.

Grant, his wife Jen and their two children (Matthew and Katie) attend Village Baptist Church in Beaverton, Oregon where Jen works in a ministry position.
